Mech design will teach students the basics of creating bipedal and quadrupedal mech designs. A heavy emphasis is placed on improving an artist's skills at visualizing objects in 3d space. Students will learn concepts of shape design and how to use forms to create a strong sense of weight and balance. Will cover aspects of the design process, from thumbnailing up to rendering a mech.
5 weeks, 2 hours per week. The course is structured to deliver focused information and techniques. Each week there will be live demonstrations and lectures. There is no feedback offered in this course.
Each week, the online classes are live at the specified time (PST timezone) in a private GOTO-MEETING classroom. Classes are recorded and students can rewatch via stream for the duration of the term. Class links, teachers notes, class recordings along with homework submission will be hosted on a private class DISCORD. The DISCORD link will be sent approximately 5-7 days prior to your class start date to the registered email address.
