This course will explore painting the landscapes from life (en plein air) in various locations. Starting with shapes and values, students will start simplifying the landscape from life while strengthening compositions. Color will be introduced first with a limited color palette, then utilizing full color range. We will be visiting different environments including urban and rural landscapes, beaches and mountainous scenes. 

Time: Fridays
Week 1 & 10 at Brainstorm Burbank 3-6pm
Weeks 2 -9 offsite locations 1:30 - 4:30pm
First Class: Friday, Jan 26, 2019
10 week course

Instructor: Brandon Gonzales, Gallery artist & Instructor

Focus: Becoming a Better landscape painter

Prerequisite: PBC, FND1, WB1, DC1 Recommended

Gouache Paints (Holbein)

·      Rounds # 2, Flat ½”, Flat ¼”, Japanese Calligraphy brushes & Rigger

Sketchbook (Recommended: Stillman & Birn, Alpha Series: Mixed Media 9x6 Landscape)
