AD2: ADVANCED FORM LANGUAGE

This is the advanced course of Form Language Design. Utilize the language of design to create and develop comprehensive and functional designs for the film and gaming industry. Students will be pushed to work at a production pace with feedback and expectation the industry demands from designers. A 10 week course of assignments have been designed to push students out of their comfort zones. If your work is derivative, if you have trouble knowing how to begin a complex design, if you wish to exercise advanced design thinking, strategies, this course is for you. The goal of this course will be to push originality in your work and develop your unique voice and style, through design!

Instructor: Norris Lin, Concept artist & Instructor

Focus: Apply design theory and shape design while execute originality within your concept in a project based course.

Prerequisite: AD1, DC1, PBC, FND1

Location: All SUMMER 2024 Term courses will be held online. All material, course structure and syllabus will remain the same. Class will meet in an online meeting room hosted by Brainstorm School.

Requirements: Computer with Photoshop and high speed internet. Mic (highly recommended) and camera (optional)
