IBD: Intro to Building Design
This is an introductory class into the basics of Building Design. The focus will be on learning the fundamentals of proportion, form/function, and scale, all elements critical to designing a believable structure whether its contemporary, fantasy, or science fiction. The course concentrates on core fundamentals such as proportions, shapes and silhouettes, form and mass, and texture.
Open to all levels

Required Materials: A computer or tablet with comparable drawing software such as photoshop, pro create etc

Location: All SUMMER 2024 Term courses will be held online. All material, course structure and syllabus will remain the same. Class will meet in an online meeting room hosted by Brainstorm School.

Instructor: Charles Lin, Concept Artist & Instructor
Charles Lin is an Australian designer with a background in industrial design and education. Charles has been involved in both education and entertainment design for the last 10 years and has worked both in film and television, as well as game development. He has taught both trade and bachelor level design course in Australia, Singapore, and North America.
